NYACK, N.Y. – The Caldwell College volleyball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at Nyack College, 25-20, 25-14, 25-20 Friday night at Bowman Gymnasium. The Cougars fall to 10-9 overall and 7-2 in the conference, while the Warriors improve to 10-11, 4-2 CACC. Senior middle blocker Kasey Bausch (Bellmore, NY/Holy Trinity) had three blocks on the night and broke the program record for blocks in a career.

Freshman outside hitter Taylor Zaeske (S. Milwaukee, WI/S. Milwaukee) led Caldwell with eight kills, while junior outside hitter Athena Nestoras (Los Angeles, CA/St. Monica Catholic) added five kills and nine digs. Freshman setter Rachel Carpenter (Newark, OH/Newark) registered 19 assists. Samantha Garza paced Nyack with 12 kills, while Michelle Makela had 25 digs.

Bausch's three blocks give her 214 blocks in her career, surpassing former Cougars Titilola Alao and Amber Mosher, who both held the previous record with 213.

The Cougars host Felician College on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in another CACC match. The first serve is at 7:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.
