ERIE, Pa. – The Caldwell College volleyball team defeated Davis & Elkins in four sets, 25-22, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21 on the second day of the Gannon University Tournament Saturday morning at the Hammermill Center. The Cougars, who play host Gannon later today, are now 2-1 on the season.

Senior outside hitter Susan McDonough (Saline, MI/Saline) racked up 21 kills against just two errors in 56 attempts for a hitting percentage of .339. The 2011 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Year also had 24 digs in the win. Freshman outside hitter Annyssa Herlihy (Springfield, NJ/Union Catholic) and junior right side Kate Blankerts (Sylvania, OH/Sylvania) each delivered seven kills. Sophomore Athena Nestoras (Los Angeles, CA/St. Monica) recorded career highs of 21 assists and 26 digs, while junior Lisa Roth (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) delivered 20 assists and 10 digs.
