ERIE, Pa. – The Caldwell College volleyball team opened the 2012 season at the Gannon University Tournament with a loss to Wisconsin-Parkside, 25-16, 25-17, 25-16 Friday afternoon at the Hammermill Center. The Cougars play Ohio Dominican at 4:30 p.m. in their second game of the day.

Caldwell was led by junior middle blocker Kasey Bausch (Bellmore, NY/Holy Trinity) with five kills. Junior setter Lisa Roth (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) had 15 assists, while sophomore Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) paced the defense with eight digs. Bridget Nickel had a match-high 12 kills for Wisconsin-Parkside.

The Cougars play Davis & Elkins and Gannon at the Gannon Tournament on Saturday.
