RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Caldwell College volleyball team defeated Felician College in three sets in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Tuesday night at Job Gymnasium. The win gives the Cougars a 19-10 record on the season, including a 12-3 mark in league play. The Golden Falcons drop to 1-20, 1-14 CACC.
Caldwell won the match by the scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-14. Freshman outside hitter Rachael DiLeonardo (Cincinnati, OH/Mount Notre Dame) led all players with 12 kills. Freshman middle blocker Kelsey Blankerts (Sylvania, OH/Southview) added eight kills, and senior outside hitter Susan McDonough (Saline, MI/Saline), senior right side Amber Mosher (Flanders, NJ/Mount Olive) and junior middle blocker Kasey Bausch (Bellmore, NY/Holy Trinity) each had seven kills.
Junior setter Lisa Roth (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) tallied 26 assists, while sophomore libero Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) registering 15 digs. The Cougars hit a season-high .356 while holding the Golden Falcons to a .056 hitting percentage. Jenna Matesic paced Felician with seven kills.
Caldwell takes on Dominican College in another CACC battle on Friday, Oct. 27. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.
