CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College volleyball team defeated Bloomfield College, 25-12, 25-19, 25-15 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Friday night in the George R. Newman Center. The Cougars, who have won their past six matches, are now 15-9 overall and 8-2 in league play. The Lady Deacons drop to 2-12, 1-11 CACC.

Caldwell was productive offensively, recording 40 kills and hitting a season-high .326 for the match. Senior outside hitter Susan McDonough (Saline, MI/Saline) led all players with 10 kills, while junior middle blocker Kasey Bausch (Bellmore, NY/Holy Trinity) had nine kills and a match-high .533 hitting percentage. Freshman outside hitter Rachael DiLeonardo (Cincinnati, OH/Mount Notre Dame) also had nine kills, and junior setter Lisa Roth (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field) dished out 35 assists.

Bausch sparked the defense with three blocks, while sophomore Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) and McDonough finished with 17 and 14 digs, respectively. Deandra Black paced Bloomfield with eight kills.

Caldwell plays at Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, Oct. 13. The CACC match starts at 1:00 p.m. in Wilmington, Del.
