COUGAR VOLLEYBALL BEATS CHESTNUT HILL IN THREE SETS

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Caldwell College volleyball team defeated Chestnut Hill College in three sets, 25-20, 25-19, 25-17 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at Sorgenti Arena Saturday afternoon. The win is the Cougars' ninth in a row and gives them a 22-4 record on the season, including a 17-1 mark in conference play. The Griffins drop to 13-17, 8-10 CACC.

In the first set, Caldwell overcame a 10-4 deficit, eventually recording 16 kills compared to seven for Chestnut Hill en route to a 25-20 win. Junior outside hitter Susan McDonough (Saline, MI/Saline) tallied six kills in the set. The Cougars led from start to finish in the second set, with McDonough and junior right side Amber Mosher (Flanders, NJ/Mt. Olive) putting away five kills apiece. Freshman outside hitter Erica Harrell (Richardson, TX/Plano East) led Caldwell to a 25-17 win in the third set with five kills.

McDonough finished with a match-high 12 kills and 19 digs to pace the Cougars, who also received 38 assists from senior setter Lauren Roth (Findlay, OH/Findlay), pictured. Mosher ended up with 11 kills and a .391 hitting percentage, while sophomore middle blocker Becca Feczer (Findlay, OH/Findlay) tallied eight kills and three blocks. Roth and freshman Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) each had 15 digs defensively.

The Cougars close out the regular season with a CACC match at Bloomfield College on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Bloomfield, N.J.
