WILMINGTON, Del. - The Caldwell College women's soccer team played Wilmington University to a scoreless tie on Saturday in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex. The result leaves the Cougars with a record of 7-6-2 overall and 6-2-2 in league play. The Wildcats are now 5-10-1, 3-6-1 CACC.
Neither team scored through 110 minutes, but it was not for a lack of trying, as the teams combined to take 51 shots, including 32 on goal. Junior goalkeeper Kristina Cabales (East Islip, NY/Islip Terrace) racked up a career-high 18 saves to record her third shutout of the season. Amanda Walter had 14 saves for Wilmington.
The Cougars continue CACC play with a game at Felician College on Tuesday, Oct. 25, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in Lyndhurst, N.J.
