COUGARS BLANK USP IN VOLLEYBALL TO REMAIN UNBEATEN IN CACC

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Freshman middle blocker Kasey Bausch (Bellmore, NY/Holy Trinity) registered a team-high nine kills and a .562 hitting percentage to lead the Caldwell College volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over the University of the Sciences in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Saturday evening at Bobby Morgan Arena. The victory is the Cougars' ninth in a row and gives them a perfect 8-0 record in the CACC and 11-3 overall. The Devils are now 5-5 overall, 3-5 CACC.

Caldwell won by the score of 25-20, 25-19, 25-20 while hitting .173 for the match compared to .017 for USP. Bausch had nine kills and no errors in 16 attempt while recording four total blocks. Senior outside hitter Cory Roesing (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) had eight kills, and junior setter Lauren Roth (Findlay, OH/Findlay) dished out 20 assists. Defensively, sophomore libero Maddy Amon (Louisville, KY/Bishop Moore) tallied 18 digs. Christine Puschak led the Devils with eight kills.

The Cougars play a non-conference match at Molloy College on Thursday, Oct. 7, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Rockville Centre, N.Y.
