BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - The Caldwell College women's soccer team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end with a 4-0 loss to 17th-ranked C.W. Post in a non-conference game Monday afternoon at Robert Blitz Field. The result gives the Cougars an overall record of 7-5, while the Pioneers improve to 9-1-3.

C.W. Post took control of the game by scoring three goals in a nine-minute period midway through the first half. Tove Eriksson found the net in the 22nd minute, followed by a pair of goals from Alexa Niciforo in the 27th and 31st minutes. Sam Tavantzis scored the Pioneers' fourth goal of the game in the 61st minute. C.W. Post racked up 32 shots in the game compared to six for the Cougars.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kristina Cabales (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) played the first half and made five saves. The first goal of the game ended Cabales' shutout streak at 317 minutes, 47 seconds. Senior Lauren Hoenig (Howell, NJ/Howell) played the second half and recorded eight saves. The Pioneers' Allie Weiser and Nicole Fierro combined to make three saves for the shutout.

The Cougars play a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at Concordia College on Wednesday, Oct. 20, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Bronxville, N.Y.
