CALDWELL VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS POST

WATERBURY, Conn. – The Caldwell College volleyball team completed the season sweep of Post University with a three-set win in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Tuesday afternoon at the Drubner Center. The Cougars, who won by scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-20, improve to 15-11 overall and 13-3 in the conference. The Eagles fall to 8-20, 8-8 CACC.

Junior outside hitter Cory Roesing (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus), right, led Caldwell with nine kills in the match, while sophomore setter Lauren Roth (Findlay, OH/Findlay) had 13 assists to go with five kills and seven digs. Junior outside hitter Justine Pecora (Clifton, NJ/Mt. St. Dominic Acad.) pitched in with seven kills and two blocks. Defensively, freshman libero Maddy Amon (Shelbyville, KY/Bishop Moore) registered 18 digs, junior defensive specialist Kathleen Estes (Lyndhurst, NJ/Lyndhurst) had 13 digs and freshman outside hitter Susan McDonough (Saline, MI/Saline) finished with 12 digs. Post's Teresea Hodges led all players with 10 kills.

The win is Caldwell's fourth in a row and second this season over the Eagles. The Cougars defeated Post in three sets in the first meeting back on Sept. 29.

The Cougars return to action on Thursday, Oct. 29, when they host Concordia College in a CACC match. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.
