WATERBURY, Conn. - Senior forward Nicole Laureigh (Lanoka Harbor, NJ/Lacey Twp.) scored two goals to lead the Caldwell College women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Post University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Tuesday afternoon at LaMoy Field. The win is the second in a row for the Cougars, who are now 4-8-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the CACC.

The game remained scoreless until the 28th minute. A pass from junior midfielder Morgan Frankenfield (Coplay, PA/Whitehall Coplay) sent Laureigh in behind the defense down the right side. Laureigh dribbled in alone on Eagles' goalkeeper Elizabeth Johnson and scored for a 1-0 Caldwell lead. The Cougars held the upper hand until Post tied the game on a goal by Susan Curran in the 64th minute. Less than seven minutes later, Caldwell was awarded a free kick just outside the Eagles' penalty area. Sophomore Nikki D'Orsaneo (Bowie, MD/Bowie) blasted a shot off the post, but Laureigh was there to head home the rebound and put the Cougars ahead to stay.

Freshman goalkeeper Kristen Cabales (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) recorded a career-high 11 saves to preserve the win for Caldwell. Johnson had five saves in goal for Post (3-9 overall, 1-6 CACC).

The Cougars return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17 with a CACC game at Holy Family University. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
