NO. 10 C.W. POST DEFEATS CALDWELL IN WOMEN'S SOCCER, 4-0

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - The Caldwell College women's soccer team lost to C.W. Post University, 4-0 in a non-conference game Wednesday afternoon at Robert Blitz Field. The result keeps the Cougars scoreless in three games this season and drops their record to 0-3. The Pioneers, who are ranked 10th in the latest NSCAA Division II national poll, remain unbeaten at 4-0.

Maria Sonnerborg opened the scoring in the 12th minute off an assist from Ivana Babic. Babic then scored goals in the 26th and 68th minutes for a 3-0 Pioneer advantage. Tove Erikkson closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 76th minute. C.W. Post goalkeeper Allie Weiser was not required to make a save in the shutout victory.

The Cougars open Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 13, when they play at Holy Family University. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
