HOLY FAMILY DOWNS COUGARS IN VOLLEYBALL

CALDWELL, N.J. - Sophomore libero Laura DeVico (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) recorded a season-best 33 digs as the Caldwell College volleyball team lost to Holy Family University, 30-18, 30-22 and 30-25 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Thursday night in the George R. Newman Center. The Cougars still are looking for their first win in nine matches in the program's inaugural season, while the Tigers are now 7-12 overall and 4-4 in the CACC.

DeVico helped Caldwell tally 86 digs as a team, as the Tigers hit just .124 for the match. Junior Phylicia Holmes (Roselle, NJ/Roselle) had a team-high eight kills, while sophomore Laura Ciesla (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) recorded 12 assists. Jen O'Conner and Emily Culp paced the Tigers with 15 and 13 kills respectively.

The Cougar volleyball team returns to action on Monday, Oct. 2, when the team plays at Nyack College, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
