HOLY FAMILY EARNS 3-0 WIN OVER COUGARS IN WOMEN'S SOCCER

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Caldwell College women's soccer team lost its third straight game, a 3-0 decision to Holy Family University, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Tuesday afternoon. The Cougars are now 4-6 on the season, including a 2-2 mark in the CACC. The Tigers, who are the defending conference champions, improved to 5-3-2 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play.

The game remained scoreless until Brianne Redelheim scored an unassisted goal in the 22nd minute. Redelheim then set up Joanna Hampton in the 41st minute to give Holy Family a 2-0 lead at halftime. The Cougars put pressure on the Tigers' goal, firing nine shots and forcing goalkeeper Kelly McGrogan to make five of her six saves in the second half. But McGrogan was able to preserve the shutout as Kaitlin Gavaghan scored in the 76th minute to put Holy Family ahead 3-0.

Caldwell senior goalkeeper Richelle Morse (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) faced 24 shots and made four saves in the loss, while McGrogan finished with six saves for her third straight shutout.

Next up for Caldwell is a CACC match at home against Georgian Court University on Thursday, Sept. 28. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
