VOLLEYBALL LOSES TO GEORGIAN COURT

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College volleyball team was defeated by Georgian Court University in three games in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Saturday afternoon in the George R. Newman Center. The Lions won the three games by the scores of 30-9, 30-13 and 30-20 to improve to 3-9 overall and 2-0 in the CACC. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 0-3 overall and in the conference.

Senior Amy Ransom (Chattanooga, TN/Notre Dame) led Caldwell with four of the Cougars' eight kills, while sophomore Laura Ciesla (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) recorded team-highs of five assists and six digs. Georgian Court was led by Claudimary Rivera's 12 kills, with Heather Walker recording 16 assists.

The Cougars return to action on Monday, Sept. 18, when they host Dominican College in a CACC contest. The match begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Newman Center.
