NEW CASTLE, Del. - The Caldwell College women's volleyball team lost to Wilmington College, 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Saturday afternoon at the Pratt Center. The Cougars, which fell 30-10, 30-25 and 30-14, are now 0-12 overall and 0-11 in the conference, while the Wildcats improve to 7-17, 7-4 CACC.
Junior Phylicia Holmes (Roselle, NJ/Roselle) had a team-best eight kills, with sophomore Laura Ciesla (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) tallying 12 assists for Caldwell. Defensively, senior Amy Ransom (Chattanooga, TN/Notre Dame) and sophomore Laura DeVico (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) each recorded 15 digs. Katie Mason paced the Wildcats with 12 kills, with Cheyann Gilroy recording 40 assists in the victory.
The Cougars return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 10 with a CACC match at Dominican College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Orangeburg, N.Y.
