WATERBURY, Conn. - Sophomore forward Victoria Aguilera (Merida, Venezuela/Saucon Valley) scored a pair of goals and added an assist as the Caldwell College women's soccer team defeated Teikyo Post 4-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Wednesday afternoon at LaMoy Field. The Cougars are now 3-2 in the CACC and 4-5-1 overall, while the Eagles fall to 1-6 in the conference and 1-10-1 on the season.
Aguilera and freshmen Jessica Davis (Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) and Carla Bleiler (Egg Harbor, NJ/Absegami) scored first-half goals to give the Cougars a 3-0 lead. Davis also had two assists to give her four points on the afternoon.
The second half saw the Eagles score twice to cut the Cougars' lead to one goal, Aguilera notched her second of the game and third of the season to clinch the victory. Caldwell out-shot Teikyo Post 12-9 for the game.
Next up for the Cougars is a home match against CACC foe N.J.I.T. on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Caldwell Field. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m.
