RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Junior midfielder Renata Fonseca (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Essex CC) scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 39th minute as Caldwell College defeated Felician College 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer match Wednesday afternoon at Tryon Field. The Cougars are now 5-2 in the CACC and 6-6-1 overall, while the Lady Golden Falcons drop to 4-9-1.

Fonseca scored the only goal Caldwell would need when she headed home a corner kick from freshman forward Jessica Davis (Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City). Late in the second half, the Cougars scored a pair of goals just 28 seconds apart. Freshman forward Brook Delucca (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) scored her fourth goal of the season off of an assist by fellow frosh Carla Bleiler (Egg Harbor, NJ/Absegami) at the 78:26 mark, then Bleiler scored an unassisted goal of her own at 78:54. Bleiler leads the Cougars in goals (six) and points (14).

Junior goalkeeper Richelle Morse (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) made five saves to record her fourth shutout of the season. Felician's Amanda Musarra made four saves.

The Cougars next play at St. Thomas Aquinas in a non-conference match on Saturday, Oct. 16.
