Cindy Lambo joined the women’s soccer team at Caldwell in its second year of existence and quickly established herself as the program’s first star. A four-time all-CACC forward, Lambo holds school records for career goals (75), assists (22) and points (172). She recorded three 20-goal seasons at Caldwell and is the only Cougar to deliver 10 assists in a season. As a senior in 2002, she tallied 21 goals and 10 assists for 52 points in 18 games, setting conference records for goals per game and points per game that still stand today.

“We went from last place to second in the conference, and it was nice to watch the program grow from nothing,” Lambo said. “I remember the Felician game my senior year. It was at night and we had a lot of fans there. They usually destroyed us, but we beat them 1-0 off a set play. It was a great moment watching it go in.”

Originally from Basking Ridge, N.J., Lambo is an attorney in Somerville.
